FAQ

I’ve heard Japanese entrances and lifts are not very wide. I’m worried if they are wide enough for my wheelchair to get through, and, how can I know if Ureshino’s hotels offer wheelchair access?

Most wheelchair friendly entrances and lifts in Ureshino are at least 90cm wide. If your wheelchair is wider than this, please contact the multi language call centre (tel 0952-20-1601) and tell them you would like to check which hotels in Ureshino offer Barrier Free access. They will check for you with the Ureshino Barrier Free Tour Centre. You can also contact The Ureshino Barrier Free Tour Centre diect (tel 0954-42-5126) but please note advisers speak Japanese only.

I have tattoos, am I welcome at a public onsen?

Some onsens do not allow bathers with tattoos to use the bath, however every public bath has it’s own rules, so please check before you visit.

I don’t speak Japanese. Is it difficult to travel around Ureshino?
